Football tips today for Real M – Man City

Welcome once again to our football tips today! We are taking our attention to the Santiago Bernabeu where Real Madrid will host Manchester City in a second leg from the Champions League 1/2-finals.

The first game in England was terrific and ended with a dramatic 4-3 win for City. This means that the tie is still open and nothing is decided just yet. The English team have a small advantage, but it’s just one goal – Madrid could easily erase it with only one strike.

Man City’s advantage in the tie could have been bigger, but once again Karim Benzema showed his masterclass at the Etihad. The French striker scored twice in England and kept his team’s chances of reaching the final pretty good. During the weekend Real Madrid won the La Liga title as well after a 4-0 win against Espanyol.

Manchester City are aware that they can’t sit back at the Bernabeu and just protect their tiny one goal advantage. It’s not their style of playing, too. We expect to see Guardiola’s team trying to control the tempo of the game and score as much as possible away from home. That’s the only way they could eventually progress to the final.

David Alaba won’t be available for Real Madrid because of an injury. This means that Nacho will replace the Austrian centre-back in the line-up. Players like Gareth Bale, Luka Jovic and Eden Hazard should miss the game as well.

Manchester City’s manager Pep Guardiola don’t know if he can use John Stones and Kyle Walker who have some problems as well. The good news is that Joao Cancelo returns on the pitch after being banned for the first leg. That’s a huge boost for Guardiola and the team.

That’s the football tips today for the Champions League 1/2-finals second leg between Real Madrid and Manchester City. Can the English team reach the final for a second consecutive time? Most surely they’d want to.
